Freedom From My Chronic Pain
by Alisha Diaz Pain. No one likes that word. Living with it is a nightmare. Many people suffer from chronic pain or has a loved one who does. They or you are often searching for relief. I have found answers for myself in the last few years, and I hope you are able to find yours. Let me tell you my story, and maybe I can be a help to you or someone else. In 5th grade I was diagnosed with scoliosis. It was not severe, and there wasn't much we could do about it at the same. That is what we thought anyway. I would get headaches every once is a while as a child. Sometimes they were migraines, and I had intolerable pain. I would just take those chewable children's Tylenol and try to sleep it off. When I became a pre-teen I started having headaches and migraines almost every day. I even started missing school because of it. In high school I had a huge problem.
